Please come along and support the mighty Brumbies U/17's in their Grand Final in a fortnights time at CUA Stadium. We need as many Brumbies supporters there as possible to show our support of the team. Congratulations to all of the players, coaching staff, and Coach Glenn Antonelli on reaching the grand final. ___________________________________________________________________________ U/12-1's & U/14-1's - Premiers 2010 Congratulations to our Mighty Under 12-1's and Under 14-1's who won their Grand Finals on Saturday to take out the Premiership. Our Under 12-1's were awesome in their second half demolition of St Marys to take out the First Division Premiership 32-12. Our U/12-1's are a great team right across the park, and every player in the team contributed to this Premiership win. Congratulations to Glenn Antonelli and all of the players for their success. Over at Windsor, the mighty Under 14-1's outclassed St Clair with the perfect first half of football, leading 22-0 at half time. They defended well in the second half to beat St Clair 23-6 in a great Grand Final victory. This was to be a rebuilding year for the Under 14's, however they achieved highly and can now boast that they are the Premiers for 2010. Well done to all of the players, support staff and Coach Steve Quye on a top season of football.
Our Under 15-1's and 15-2's were both beaten in their respective Grand Finals, but both teams gave it their best shot and played with pride. Everyone at the Brumbies are so very proud of your achievements throughout the year and the way you played on Grand Final day. Congratulations to Col Bentley and Mick Morgan, your support staff, and all of the players from our Under 15-1's & 15-2's for your great success in 2010.
Player of the Week
Congratulations to Jye Antonelli from our Under 12-1's for winning this weeks A Step Ahead Podiatry Player of the Week Award. It was very difficult to choose a stand out player in the U/12-1's, 32-12 Grand Final win over St Marys, as every player was outstanding, however Jye played a great half back's game leading the team around the park. His organisation was perfect, particularly in the second half. The highlight of the game was his try that was scored after some great team work and a massive break down the right hand side of the field, with a gift of a pass for Jye to put the ball down beneath the posts. Thanks to A Step Ahead Podiatry for their support of the mighty Brumbies.
